About Victoria
Researcher, Artist, Goldsmith
The surname Himelstein can be directly translated to Heaven Stone, Comet, or Shooting Star in English. And similarly to a shooting star, Victoria is well traveled. She was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where she moved to Seattle then to Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, onward to upstate New York, and now resides in the Research Triangle of North Carolina. She acquired her Bachelors of Fine Arts from Tyler School of Art, Temple University, in 2016, a Bachelors of Science in Applied Physics from Binghamton University in 2021, and is currently pursuing a Masters of Materials Science and Engineering at NCSU.
Her current research is focused on novel refractory alloys for printing via electron beam and laser powder bed fusion additive manufacturing. This project is co-developing with Oak Ridge National Labs, ATI, and Seimens.
